Salt & Vine, Nashville

About:

Salt & Vine is a full service restaurant, stocked with a an abundant wine bar, great for their enjoyable wine tastings. As soon as you walk in, the gourmet market is evident & your eyes will wander from item to item trying to decide which ones you will want on your table. {The answer is all of them... & immediately!!} They also have a retail wine shop next door to take the goodness with you on your way out!

What we loved:

We tried the small Daily Market Board, with a variety of meats, cheeses & spreads. It was the perfect little tasting for just the two of us. I did have to ask Jess for the best approach toward the board, but she put it all together perfectly & we ate it up!

I am a huge fan of Roasted Cauliflower, so when my eyes scanned it in the market, I was ready to order! With a mixture of chopped cauliflower, spiced chickpeas, golden raisins, almonds & lemon tahini, it was the perfect balance of tang & spice for this yummy dish.

When I was younger my friend & I would make homemade hummus, so I have always been picky with how I like it. Their Green Tahini Hummus was delicious! The tasty hummus on the toasted flatbread, covered in leafy greens, goodies & seasoning all made for an appetizing snack that was perfect sizing for both Jess & I!

While I was having my non-21 year old drink, a Sparkling Clementine Izze, Jess sipped her glass of wine. I wish I could tell you about their wine & the taste, but that type of food/drink post won't come until later next spring!

{Patiently waiting for the 21st birthday!}

They do make their signature drinks non-alcoholic for those that would like to try them out as well!

The food is all brought out in sharable sizes, perfect for sampling. We each had our own plate & ordered different dishes to try them all! I was just getting over the flu & couldn't eat all that I had hoped, but what I was able to eat, I very much enjoyed! The seasoning of the food was just right & not a single dish was below 5 stars. If you are a fan of Tapas Style food, then you will love the variety at Salt & Vine!

Venue/Where:

Of course every blogger & Instagrammer loves a bright & cheery location. Thankfully, Salt & Vine is a beautiful, well lit venue with hints of yellow, grey & dark details to make for a comfortable & casual restaurant. The classy, yet modern feel makes you feel right at home. Plus, being surrounded by pretty Edison bulb lights hanging from the ceiling adds a pretty little touch. It is perfect for grabbing drinks with the girls or enjoying a few delectable snacks with your other half.

The staff here was great! They were attentive of what we needed, as well as knowledgeable on the dishes, making it easy to ask questions about any of the meals! They gave honest opinions & recommendations, being sure we had the best of the best!
