Falling Back in Line

It is so easy to get lost in the crazy hustle & bustle of the holidays. I have to tell myself to stop & smell the roses. Or in this case, stop & enjoy the bright autumn leaves.

I could drive down back roads for hours to see these colorful trees row by row.

It is important to take time to do little things that you simply enjoy, even during the running-around-crazy times like now.

Read through, shop the pieces & enjoy this look, then at the end of the post, I'm sharing my 5 favorite ways to FALL back into an enjoyable life when it gets a little too hectic.

Fall is my favorite time of year & these photos show just a tiny glimpse of why.

The color of the trees are incandescent, the weather is perfect for cozy outfits & holidays are around every corner!!

Getting all dressed up, shooting pretty outfits & posting them on the blog for y'all is fun. But at times, it is important to rest & relax when things get overly busy & a little out of hand. Here are my 5 favorite ways to simmer down during the fall season:

1. Get cozy & binge watch Netflix

I am obsessed with cute pajammies, as many of y'all know. When I get to come home, throw on my matching set & LOL at FRIENDS for hours, that is when nothing can ruin this day!

2. Cooking & Baking

Yes, this may seem like more work after the thought of cleaning up. However, putting together all of the ingredients, creating/eating a yummy treat & the pride of making it yourself, that is the best way to brighten any mood!

3. Talk to your girls

Grab your phone & chat. About anything, anywhere, at any time. We all need a good laugh with our girlfriends & a good 5, 10, or 30 minute phone call can completely turn your day, week, or bad phase around. If you really want to get your mood glowing, turn this into shopping day!! Retail therapy really is way of life.

4. Write

Clearly I love this one, as I sit & write it for you now. Doodle in a journal. Find a notebook & make a list of 10 things you are thankful for, or 5 things that made you smile that day. You can write a letter to your best friend, or write about what's been on your heart. Just write your heart out & let your feelings flow.

5. PRAY

This is my favorite. This saved & continues to save me. A talk with God can slow your mind, calm your heart & put you at peace. You can send your troubles to Him & thank Him for the good He is sending into your life. The best part is, He always listens & never turns away. How comforting is that?

John 5:14

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
